About us
David Le Neve Foster is a native of Buckinghamshire and after a 3 year short service commission in the army and a spell living in London he returned to Bucks where he worked as a country house estate agent before teaming up with The County Homesearch Company in 1993.
The area
The area we refer to as ‘Thames and Chilterns’ includes the Western fringe of Hertfordshire, the majority of Buckinghamshire, East Berkshire and South Oxfordshire.
It boasts a huge variety of landscape including the Thames Valley and The Chiltern Hills and some of the most convenient commuter towns in the Home Counties such as Berkhamsted, Amersham, Beaconsfield, Gerrards Cross and Ascot, all served by good road and rail links to central London.
Add to this the proximity to major airports and it is not difficult to see why the area is such a popular choice and why potential buyers might benefit from David’s assistance in tracking down that elusive dream home.
For those seeking a quieter life the more rural parts of the area have some fine country houses and farms and some delightful smaller village houses and cottages whilst for boat lovers the river Thames offers some of the finest riverside houses in the country especially around Henley-on-Thames and Marlow.
Thames Valley including towns like Windsor, Slough, Maidenhead and especially Reading is host to a large number of national and international businesses with an emphasis on technology and computing.
The area also supports a thriving rental market in which David’s office plays a leading role helping to relocate international business people and their families.

Fast rail connections to the capital include services to Waterloo and Paddington from Berkshire, to Marylebone and Baker Street from Buckinghamshire and to Euston from Hertfordshire.

For the car driver the principal routes radiating out from London and the M25 include the M1, M40 and M4 motorways and the much improved A41 and these give easy access to Heathrow and Luton airports with Gatwick and Stanstead about an hour’s drive.
There is an excellent choice of schooling both private and within the state sector especially in Buckinghamshire which has retained its grammar schools. There are also 3 international schools serving the area.
