Guildford

Guildford the historic and vibrant county town of Surrey is the gateway to some of the most stunning scenery in the South East of England. It is situated on a direct line to London, average time 35 minutes and has good road links to the M25 and M3 motorways. Guildford has a university and is home to the The Royal Surrey Hospital. The Royal Grammar School, founded in 1507, is one of the top boys’ schools in the area and there are several very good girls’ independent schools too. Guildford Castle dates to 1066 and Guildford Cathedral is situated in 20 acres of green parkland.

The Yvonne Arnaud Theatre is in the town, where many West End productions are debuted. A 17th century town house is home to one of the many art galleries and has a changing programme throughout the year. Guildford with it’s cobbled High Street has a wealth of shops and restaurants.
