Regents Park and Camden
Framed by Nash-designed stuccoed terraces and home to London Zoo, Regents Park is a very smart and well maintained area. Regents Park itself is a fantastic central London space – it has a wonderful open air theatre – although not so great in the rain! It is framed by the Regent’s Canal, and has a world famous Zoo. It is also home to the London Central Mosque . Camden is a trendy residential area – Victorian, Edwardian and Georgian houses and conversions abound. Most famous is the weekend market which is centred around the Camden lock. It is a warren of street stalls selling anything from old records to fashion and ethnic food www.camdenlock.net. Pleasure cruises on the locks are available at www.londonwaterbus.com
