Hoxton and Spitalfields
Lying north of the infamous Whitechapel, Hoxton has a dubious past which, while not forgotten, has over the last 15 years or so, been eclipsed by its new uber-trendy image. The area has been colonised by artists and well known art galleries www.whitecube.com, designers, architects etc and has been transformed into the cities’ artistic enclave.
Spitalfields lies at the heart of Londons’ East End with Sunday markets and curry houses in abundance. The area is well served by Liverpool Street Station and Shorditch tube.
