Derbyshire has one of the youngest Cities in Britain as its Capital, Derby, which was awarded its charter by Her Majesty The Queen in 1977.

The Peak National Park between Sheffield and Manchester was the first National Park to be set up in Britain and covers some 500 square miles three quarters of which are in Derbyshire. Derbyshire has many attractive towns and Villages, National Parks, Theme Parks, Stately and Historic Homes and miles upon miles of Parkland.
Neighbouring County South Yorkshire is full of pleasant surprises. Having once been known as an industrial heartland it is today fully transformed into the 21st Century and has a good mixture of shopping, family attractions, nightlife, sport and music as well as some the finest Gothic architecture, Museums and Victorian Monuments.
Located on the East side of the Pennines bordering West, North and East Yorkshire and Derbyshire comprising Metropolitan Boroughs of Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham, Chesterfield and the City of Sheffield.
