Great Malvern
Elgar’s birthplace and home to a renowned music festival, garden show and other notable events, Malvern is a hidden gem of a town nestled at the foot of the Malvern Hills and gained fame in the 19th century as a spa based on its spring waters. The Winter Gardens complex is home to the renowned Malvern Theatres and Malvern now has a substantial education sector, together with other major employers such as QinetiQ. Malvern is close to the M5 with its links to the Midlands and South West, and has a rail link to Birmingham as well as to London Paddington (2h35).
