Henley-on-Thames
Henley-on-Thames, famous for its Regatta, is a vibrant and popular town with good shopping and leisure facilities including the Kenton Theatre and the Rowing Museum. It is situated on the North bank of the River Thames in South Oxfordshire close to the borders of Berkshire, and Buckinghamshire about 10 miles downstream and north-east of Reading and ten miles upstream and west of Maidenhead. The train service is to London Paddington via Twyford and the town is convenient for the M4 and M40.
