Beaconsfield & Gerrards Cross

Beaconsfield is a market town with a historic Charter Fair held annually and home to Beconscot Model village.

It has a population of 11,000 and like Amersham is in two parts, the historic Old Town with specialised shops, restaurants and pubs and the New Town with its leafy residential roads of family houses, station, shopping and several good private and state schools.

Its neighbour Gerrards Cross is a commuter village of approximately 8,000 people and includes Chalfont St Peter its close neighbour. It is an exclusive and upmarket town with highly sought after private schools. There is good local shopping and a station for London Marylebone. The M40 is 4 miles, Heathrow 12 miles and central London 22 miles.

These two towns are popular with commuters wanting to settle with their families for the excellent schooling and short journey time into London via Marylebone on the Chiltern line.

Both are home to an American community due to the close proximity of the American School in Hillingdon.
